PIRA index: 3A15.20
Description
A ruler with different slots (to adjust height) acts as a rigid pendulum. A rod with a mass on its end can also act as a rigid pendulum.
Equipment
- rigid pendulum (ruler or bar)
 - rod attachment

Instructions
Connect the rigid pendulum to the rod attachment. Shift the pendulum to a small angle from vertical and allow it to oscillate and demonstrate simple harmonic motion.
Keywords
adjustable, rigid pendulum, period, oscillation
