Description
The difference in the coefficient of thermal expansion of two connected parallel metal strip will cause them to bend when heated.
Equipment
- Bimetal strip
- Heat source (candle or torch)
Instructions
Start with strip mostly straight at room temperature. Heat the strip. Observe the strip bend.
