Description

A set of successfully shorter pendula exhibit a sequence of waves if their motion is started in phase.

Equipment

  • pendulum waves apparatus
  • meter stick

Instructions

Use a meter stick to simultaneously push all the pendula such that they are about 30 degrees from vertical then release them. The pendula will go through a series of different waves.
